We often wish we had this and could do that and compare ourselves with friends and acquaintances on social media and envy them either for possessing something or their height or their beauty or success in their career and so on.

Have we looked at our own selves and felt how lucky we are to be where we are? The fact that we are alive, have a roof over our heads and have our family itself is the world of happiness.

When we start focussing on what we have instead of what we don’t, we train our brain to look for good happy things to be grateful for. Even the sight of the beautiful colours of the sky during sunrise is something to be grateful for.  When we train our brain everyday to look for simple good things, it become a habit and that shifts the mindset from a complaining one to a grateful one. And that’s a huge shift.
